What is Reiki?

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a simple relaxation technique which activates the body’s natural healing response.  With intent, Reiki surrounds situations in one's life and brings movement, change, enlightenment, and direction, as well as a more peaceful acceptance of life as it is.  Other benefits include:

  • Stress Relief
  • Calming Anxiety
  • Easing Depression
  • Comforting Grief
  • Alleviate Symptoms of Illness
  • Bring Clarity Around Difficult Decisions

 

What is a Reiki session like?

During a Reiki session, I use a series of gentle hand placements on or just above the body.  Each position is held for several minutes.  The session is performed with the client clothed and resting on the massage table.  Soft music and soft lighting create a peaceful atmosphere.

 

Will Reiki sessions balance my chakras?

Yes.  Reiki sessions are all about balance; chakras included.

 

What can I expect following my Reiki session?

Reiki sessions are deeply relaxing, nurturing, and healing on all levels... mental, emotional, spiritual, energetic, as well as physical.  Changes may be subtle or profound and may appear right away or more slowly over the following days.

 

How often should I receive a Reiki session?

Many have experienced great enough shifts that a single session is enough.  Others come for a series of two or more as they feel drawn to do.

 

Can I learn to do Reiki myself?

Yes you can!  The Reiki 1 Learning Series consists of three 2 hour learning sessions, a student manual, Reiki journal, two Reiki sessions, and attunement to Reiki Level One.
